In this section of our website you will find a variety of resources.

We have Educational Presentations, which are lectures or demonstrations that Home Sweet Home Care Inc. brings to churches, organizations, businesses and clubs. If you would like us to bring one of these educational opportunities to your group, then please call the office at 757-356-0342.

We also have books, DVDs, and games that you can checkout of our Resource Library to take home and use for period of time, just like a library. These materials are focused specifically on the subject of the elderly and caregiving. You can find titles, such as:  Alzhiemer’s Disease: 300 Tips, How to Say It to Seniors: Closing the Communication Gap with Our Elders, Say “Never” to Nursing Homes and Avoid Medical Bankruptcy, Eat This not That, Chair Exercises, and Eldercare 911. These are just a few of the titles we have and they are free to check out and use.

Also in this section there is on-line training for Family Caregivers. The Family Caregiver Education Program is available at no charge, and it is similar to the training we provide to our caregivers. Available through Home Sweet Home Care Inc., theses are a professionally produced series of courses designed to teach individuals how to care for elderly loved ones. Courses, like this, typically cost hundreds of dollars to take, and we are providing these high-quality courses to the community as one of our Community Projects, which we do on an annual basis.

You will also find a variety of links to resources outside of Home Sweet Home Care Inc. in the Links to Various Resources, which will take your directly to places like the American Health and Assistance Foundation, National Association of Area Agency on Aging and more.

In total, there are numerous educational resources on our website between these offerings and  the articles we post on our website.
